From Fear to Faith to Freedom

As we celebrate our 10th anniversary of Community Building and now Leadership and Personal Development, with Orrin Woodward, Chris Brady, and Bill Lewis, I’ve learned one very important lesson. Most people are living a life of fear. Henry David Thoreau said “most men live lives of quiet desperation”  In his book “The Fifth Discipline”, Peter Senge says we have become a society that identify ourselves by our occupation. Many questioned our wisdom when I chose to terminate my government employment. It was that safe secure job by most people’s standards. Speaking from personal experience, when Bill told me it was costing me money to be employed, it generated great fear. As Bill said that, I told him that scared me and he responded, I know, that is because of the failure to educate you about financial literacy.

As we look across America today, it becomes very clear, that not only have we failed to educate the general populace on the matters of finance, but we have really failed in the arena of people skill development also. That is what makes me so excited about the future for my grandchildren.

Allow me to share some examples:

Personality Plus by Florence Littauer, How I Raised Myself From Failure to Success by Frank Bettger, How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, How to Have Confidence and Power in Dealing With People by Les Giblin and The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz. In over 20 years of public education, no one had ever recommended any one of these books to me.

The above referenced books are some recommended to me in the last ten years, all of them read several times, that have created a belief in me that we can help other people succeed simply by encouraging them and providing a different source of information and a positive environment of folks to associate with. 

Ask yourself this question, If I said to the person in the mirror that this is a person who is here to be the best I could be and serve other people, would the world be a better place?

Charlie Tremendous Jones, author of the book “Life is Tremendous”, says that 5 years from now we will become the books that we read and the people we associate with. 

All of us have some degree of faith. Moving from fear to faith, I’ll use the example of teaching our granddaughter to ride a two-wheeled bicycle. And, certainly not the using the example Orrin used with his children. It took her a bit, but when she had received enough encouragement and belief in herself , she was off to the races with her bike and a great sense of accomplishment was enjoyed. What an exciting time for a grandparent. As adults, we could all relearn a valuable lesson by watching our infants and toddlers. You see, there is increased freedom as we have given them the belief through encouragement that riding their two-wheeler gives them more freedom than scooters or tricycles. 

See, many have said, Oh you are in one of those things! Well folks, we are not in one of those things. The “thing” as some call it, is in us and it is called purpose.

The Team/LIFE Organization of folks we are involved with is a loyal Community of people who have stepped back to listen to truth. Truth is our Nation and the World needs to have its foundational and biblical principles GOD created this earth with restored. Nothing more, nothing less.

At a recent International Leadership Conference in Columbus Ohio, we were honored to be introduced to Oliver DeMille, author of “The Thomas Jefferson Education”  “The Coming Aristocracy” and “Freedom Shift” I learned more in two hours from Oliver that I had learned in nearly twenty years of education about how and why our government was formed, what has happened to it since 1913, and what needs to be done to restore it based on principles with morals and integrity.

Moving from Fear to Faith (you will have to have faith) to Freedom, will require encouragement to develop belief and all of that will require COURAGE.

Courage and belief that we can restore Americas Freedoms. Freedom is a privilege that must be fought for and maintained.

In Orrin and Chris’s New York Times best-selling book “Launching a Leadership Revolution” there is a Tri-Lateral Leadership Ledger. This ledger evaluates your leadership effectiveness. I challenge each of you to read it and score your leadership effectiveness.

Dream Chasers

In his now famous CD “Nobodies can be Somebodies”,(Team 323) Orrin Woodward shares the importance of having a dream. This upcoming weekend will mark the culmination of nearly 20 years of a man chasing his dream while restoring the belief in hundreds of thousands of others, that they too can have a dream come true. In 1999 Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady witnessed a presentation by Michael Dell at the Detroit Economics Club. Michael Dells key point in the presentation was the importance of community. At that moment Orrin knew his dream would become a reality.

In 1999 Orrin and Chris founded a Leadership and Personal Development organization called TEAM. The purpose of Team was to find and develop a community of leaders with a dream. Orrin and Laurie Woodward have dedicated their life to fulfill a dream of restoring the foundational and biblical principles our great nations were founded upon.

Together, Chris and Orrin have authored or co-authored no less than 8 books. Their 4th book “Launching a Leadership Revolution” is a New York Times Best Seller.  These two gentlemen have scoured the United States and Canada and have assembled a Policy Council of Leaders across our nations that will come together to hold the first LIFE International Leadership Convention in Ohio and California this weekend.

Read for yourself what Chris Brady had to say about a recent accomplishment of Orrins. Yesterday I received an innocuous email seemingly no different from the other 100 that come in on a daily basis.  I opened it with no more anticipation than one opens a phone bill.  But as I read through its contents I was warmed by its announcement that my friend and business partner Orrin Woodward had received the prestigious IAB Top Small Business Award Top Leadership Website for 2011.  IAB is the International Association of Businesses, a worldwide membership of business owners more than 1 million members strong.  For this year’s award, Orrin Woodward was up against the likes of leadership giants such as Jim Collins, John Maxwell, Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard, Tony Robbins, and Jack Welch, among others.  It is an incredible honor just to be among such icons of the industry, but to finish first is absolutely impressive.

These incredible men and their wives have become the pinnacle of Leadership today.  

Dan and Lisa Hawkins, George and Jill Guzzardo, Claude and Lana Hamilton, Bill and Jackie Lewis, Tim and Amy Marks, Chris and Terri Brady, Rob and Susie Hallstrand, and Orrin and Laurie Woodward are the LIFE Founders that have built the leadership community that Michael Dell spoke of.

Ten years ago, my wife Sherry and I were introduced to this group by a young man from Saginaw Michigan, Bill Lewis. It was clear to me Bill had a dream. Bill helped me to see that even though I was doing what I loved to do, GOD had bigger plans for us. We have been honored to work with this incredible organization and are fired up about attending the first International LIFE Leadership Convention.

What we have come to understand is that many folks have lost belief that there is something else out there or that they have what it takes to be successful.

In a recent book authored by John Maxwell titled “Put Your Dream to The Test”, John asks 10 questions that we must answer to determine if we really are living our own dreams or are we the catalyst for others to accomplish their dreams.

Make no mistake, there will be a “Muskavilla” somewhere where it is warm. Leaders like Jason Tingley and Roy and Brenda Hatcher have become part of a team of people known as the Musketeers”. Together we have a vision to insure our children and grandchildren will be “Somebodies” and be incouraged to DREAM!!

Orrin Woodward is truly “Todays Warrior”

In a time of uncertainty, there are people who stand out above the crowd. Orrin Woodward, born and raised in Columbiaville Michigan, has stood above the crowd for over a decade. Believing in his creator first, and not listening to his critiques. He knew in 1999 that he would become the Top Leadership Business Community Builder in the world, because he has a vision of truth and a focus on leadership.

I am proud to be associated with this young man because he stands by his convictions. Below is his expression of appreciation to those who have chosen on a daily basis to fight to restore the foundational principles that this great Nation was founded upon. The number one thing I admire and respect about Orrin is his ability to recognize the good in others.

The International Association of Business has just recognized Orrin Woodward with the Top Leadership Award in America in 2011. I encourage you to check it out.

After receiving the news that I was awarded the International Association of Business (IAB) Top Leaders Award, my mind immediately reflected back to all the people who encouraged me on my leadership journey. I first want to thank the IAB for this prestigious award. I am truly humbled and honored at the same time. I also would like to share this honor with each of the leaders mentioned below, since it was thanks to their contributions into my life that made this award possible in the first place.

I will begin by thanking the LIFE TEAM community. Leadership, by definition, is a team sport and I have been blessed with the most enthusiastic, hungry, and driven community of winners in the world. This isn’t hyperbole, as I have never witnessed anything quite like the LIFE TEAM leaders. In fact,  no one could afford the level of service provided consistently by the leaders if they charged by the hour. Thankfully, the leaders are long-term thinkers, knowing that through serving people, eventually others become leaders willing to serve as well. This process creates positive duplication, forming a winning culture that rises the tide for all ships. Thank you LIFE TEAM leaders!

I would like to thank the Policy Council (Chris Brady, Tim Marks, Claude Hamilton, George Guzzardo, Bill Lewis, and Dan Hawkins) for their superhuman effort to lift the TEAM community and the LIFE business to excellence. Surrounding myself with this caliber of leadership has made all the difference in my leadership journey. Each one of these men displayed unwavering courage to do what is right regardless of the personal sacrifice demanded. I could write complete books on each of these great men as they are true heroes to me. Thank you PC and LIFE Founders!

I would like to thank Dallin Larsen (2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year) for believing in the vision of the TEAM PC enough to get in the ring and fight for it. Instead of cowering on the sidelines, Dallin stepped into the ring, willingly sacrificing his peace, money and time to help the TEAM stand on its principles. Without Dallin, its questionable whether the TEAM could have endured the punitive legal and financial war. Dallin Larsen shined his light into the darkness, providing a principled path to freedom. I would like to thank Larry and Marsie VanBuskirk for introducing Laurie and me to community building. Even though the business model he introduced was outdated and had many shortcomings, it was the VanBuskirks’ posture that helped us believe we could change through improved leadership. Indeed, it was Larry who scribbled down three books (Magic of Thinking Big, Psychology of Winning, and Seven Habits), which started me on my leadership journey. He spoke with such conviction that I wanted to believe him and this belief changed our lives. Thank you Larry and Marsie VanBuskirk!

I would like to thank Art Jonak for his immeasurable encouragement. Art, along with his wonderful faculty and students from his MasterMind Events, spoke encouraging words to me during an exceptionally tough period of time. You all know who you are and I will never forget the level of kindness displayed. Art has been a true friend to me when I needed one the most. His unconditional love, belief, and advice during my desert experiences were invaluable. It is the many friends I am blessed with like Art that make the leadership journey worthwhile. I would like to thank my mom and dad (Kathy and Orrin “Bud” Woodward). When I was young, I remember my dad and mom teaching me two invaluable lessons that stuck with me ever since. The first is to work hard which my mom displays every single day or her life. In fact, I can remember as a kid wondering why she wouldn’t just sit still for a bit. :) She was constantly improving something around the yard, house, or community. My dad, on the other hand, was constantly thinking. There was never a day, where after arriving home from work, that he wasn’t thinking and sharing on some subject he was researching. He was always dreaming up potential solutions to the problems of life. It was this combination of hard work and thinking that was foundational in my leadership journey. My mom is still working hard on earth and I am sure my dad is still thinking continuously in his heavenly home. Thank you mom and dad!

I could not finish my thank you’s without including my amazing wife, Laurie. How was I to know what a champion this young lady was when I met her? Yes, I knew from the start that she was beautiful, smart, and genuine. However, what I only learned through the leadership journey was her indomitable will to win; her sacrificial love for those in need; and her endless reserve of energy to finish what she started. No one in his right mind could expect the level of commitment and patience that Laurie displays daily. Not only is she a superb mother for our four wonderful children, but she is my soulmate who somehow understands my crazy dreams. She simply is a blessing from above. Thank you Laurie Woodward!

Which brings me to my final thank you. I thank Jesus Christ for saving a ruined sinner like me. I was living a life only for myself until He slowly taught me the meaning of true grace. The Bible says it’s more blessed to give than receive; however, it’s also easier to say it than to live it. The grace and mercy I received from Christ, forgiving my sins can never be repaid directly. Thankfully, with His guiding hand, I plan to pay as much of this grace forward into other people’s lives as possible. It’s the least I can do for Him who gave Himself so freely to me.

I know I have missed many others names who deserve specific recognition. However, in order to keep this blog a reasonable length, I will end here. Please know how thankful I am to everyone who wrote letters, commented on my blog, encouraged me in person, or served another human being sacrificially. They Deserve Freedom

Last October, we were privileged to attend an International Leadership Conference where Orrin Woodward invited Oliver DeMille as a Keynote Speaker. Mr. DeMille is a world respected authority on most facets of our government and our Nations Constitution and a best-selling author, having written numerous books on Leadership, Politics, Education and Freedom.

It’s interesting to listen to conversations with people like Orrin Woodward, Chris Brady, and Oliver DeMille. It becomes very clear their knowledge of leadership, government, education, and finance is a result of continued learning from credible sources of information. A large billboard on I-75 south of Wolverine Michigan, shows a newborn infant wrapped in a blanket being welcomed into the world and the caption says “Welcome to the World, you owe the government $850,000.00”!! Knowing what our nations current debt is, that is no laughing matter.

Proverbs 13:22 says “A good man will leave an inheritance for his children’s children” Our current state of affairs is certainly a long ways from financial freedom. A free America can only be maintained by a culture of adults. My oldest grandson Brandon attended a recent Team Mens Leadership Meeting with me where he had the opportunity to meet many of Michigan’s Top Leadership Gurus. During the course of our conversation, Brandon learned some of the freedoms we enjoyed earlier have been severely restricted in his day.                                       

In Oliver recent book “Freedom Shift” he explains virtually every child looks forward to the freedoms and     responsibilities of being an adult. I remember driving the ole Farmall tractor on the property at the ripe old age of 8. I serviced that tractor for my dad one day thinking I was helping out. What a lesson that became. Twenty two quarts of oil out of the case in the crankcase, I figured that was enough. I learned I had the wrong plug out of the motor to see the oil level

On Thursday evening of the Leadership Conference, Oliver spoke to a very interested group of leaders and cautioned everyone in attendance that our number one concern should be to make sure we are raising our children and grandchildren to be the parents of the future FREE America. This is more difficult to achieve than first meets the eye. Chapter 7 of the “Freedom Shift” explains the impacts on today’s youth from Elementary Culture to the High School Culture to the College-Corporate Culture to the Official Culture to the Adult Culture to define the “Hidden War”

Orrin and Oliver (among many others) have become advocates of truth to keep our ancestors thinking alive. Simply said, they are among many who plan to restore our nations principles to the level that she was founded upon.

We must stop the Merry-go-Round of “Freedom Loss” long enough in our busy lives to insure our children and their children will have a FREE America.

First You Must Follow

In Orrin Woodward’s new book “Resolved” he clearly identifies that he is a follower of a great GOD. If we are to understand success in the future, we must resolve to follow some parts of the past. Hundreds of years ago, community was important in our day-to-day lives. Everyone was following someone and everyone (well nearly everyone) understood they were leading someone. Growing up as a child, we knew to respect our parents, our friends parents, our teachers, our local law enforcement officers, our legal system, and public education.  Every one of those people had an influence in what I would later become, and lead others to those same truths. I remember very well, my 3rd grade teacher, Mrs Youcartz, and my Reading Railroad workbooks! I remember her keeping me after school and then taking me home so I could keep up with the rest of the class in their advanced reading skills.

I recall growing up in a smaller rural neighborhood that we referred to as Union Lake. Our community was a close knit group of families that did many things together. I recall a tornado as a child forcing most of our neighborhood into the Johnston’s basement. That was cool watching garbage cans flying through the neighborhood! Our parents went frogging together, they united during many times of year to help others out like at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Much of what is mostly left up to churches and Scouting organizations to accomplish these days. As children we were following people we respected.

A handful of years ago, GOD brought a few men into our life that we knew were different. Not brash or arrogant, but certainly confident and trustworthy. These men, Orrin Woodward, Bill Lewis, and Mark Huber, caused me to rethink my thinking. Many will ask, “what is different about these guy?” The answer, plenty!  They are living their lives with purpose. They are committed to improving the lives of others, plain and simple.

Most folks have very busy hectic schedules, which are mostly do to lost focus. It’s almost like we are a nation of lost souls wandering  around in the desert and the only thing we have accomplished at the end of any given day is to be tired.

We were honored to be present when Oliver DeMille, best-selling author of the new book Freedom Shift, shared with a group of LIFE Leadership recently, that we must resolve to return to teaching our children to be parents. Teach them not only to be Leaders, but also understand they must follow.

With that said, this title “First You Must Follow” is for parents to step up to the plate and be the example our children need, to learn to follow.

My friend and mentor Bill Lewis, posted a recent leadership article on the foundations we all are building for our children and grandchildren, or believe we are. I believe the sole purpose in leadership is to inspire others to become the best they can be. When this young man came into my life several years ago, I was one of those lost souls. Doing everything everyone had told me to do.

Although my career as a wildland firefighter with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources took me on some very exciting adventures, something was missing. The only time I really gave serious consideration to making a difference in someone’s life was when duty called. The rest was living the life of insanity.

Duty has called again, and that duty is to share truth and restore leadership. What an exciting time we live in. We get to be a part of the Leadership Revolution our Nation needs just like our ancestors did hundreds of years ago. Not everyone sailed with Columbus, but he did certainly have followers and they were willing and ready to pay whatever price needed to be paid to have their freedom.

Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady’s New York Times Best Selling book “Launching a Leadership Revolution” is a very good place to start following from. 

Another great read is “Becoming a Person of Influence” by John Maxwell.

Rumor, Heresy, Popular Opinion

Nearly ten years ago, we were introduced to a couple gentlemen, Orrin Woodward and Mark Huber. This introduction was made possible by our new found friend Bill Lewis. We had just became a part of a growing organization of people that were dedicated to work together to improve the lives of anyone that would be willing to step outside their comfort zone and utilize the seeds of greatness that GOD had planted in all of us at birth.                                

Everyone had their individual opinions about what we had become involved in, and we quickly came to realize that was what they were, opinions.

Orrin Woodward and Mark Huber and their wives Laurie and Anna, had come to our home town of Gladwin Michigan at the time to give back. They were teaching at the then Gillman Springs Church Camp. Orrin knew we were new to the Team Leadership Organization, and asked Bill if there were anything he could do for us to help speed up the growth of our team. We had heard a lot about Orrin and were anxious to make his acquaintance.

Within minutes of meeting Orrin and Mark, all of the rumors, heresies, and opinions of others were dispelled. We knew there was something different about Orrin and Mark that no one had brought to our attention except Bill Lewis. They were men of character and integrity.  Yep, both in the same sentence.

It has been our honor and privilege to work side by side with these outstanding examples of GOD fearing men, and are excited to be a spoke in the wheel of the group of outstanding men and women who have stood by their convictions to have launched the new LIFE organization.

Make no mistake, this is a Leadership Revolution. Some will ask what it is, some will wonder what it is, and some will watch it happen. Make no mistake, it is going to happen. The children and grandchildren of those who are involved are going to be very proud of their parents and grandparents accomplishments and for their committment to a better, safer America.

We have a battle to fight as Oliver DeMille points out in his new book “Freedom Shift” and the battle is consumerism. DeMille points out our country was made great by those who decided to be producers. Orrin Woodward, Chris Brady and the Founders of LIFE are elite examples of leadership producers.

These brief definitions may help the reader come to the right conclusion:

Rumor: often viewed as “an unverified account or explanation of events circulating from person to person and pertaining to an object, event, or issue in public concern”

Rumors are also often discussed with regard to “misinformation” and “disinformation” (the former often seen as simply false and the latter seen as deliberately false.

Such use of “hearsay evidence” in court is generally not allowed. This prohibition is called the hearsay rule.

Popular Opinion: An opinion is a subjective statement or thought about an issue or topic, and is the result of emotion or interpretation of the facts. An opinion may be supported by an argument. Even though people may draw opposing opinions from the same set of facts. Opinions rarely change without new arguments or information being presented. However, it can be reasoned that one opinion is better supported by the facts than another by the supporting arguments.

An opinion may be the result of a person’s perspective, understanding, or particular feelings, beliefs and desires. The term opinion may refer to unsubstantiated information, in contrast to knowledge and fact-based beliefs.

Historically, opinions can be persuasive, but only the assertions they are based on can be said to be true or false.

Public opinion is the sum of individual attitudes or beliefs held by the general population. Public opinion can also be defined as the collection of opinions of many different people and the sum of all their views based on emotional thinking.

One can not argue that the world is struggling.

One can not argue that our fellow man needs help.

One can not argue that the divorce rate is escalating.

One can not argue that domestic violence is out of control.

One can not argue that Leadership must be restored..

One can not argue!!!!

How about if we quit arguing and agreed to live by a few basic leadership principles, and we started with ourselves first. If we are not willing to fix ourselves first, nothing else will be accomplished.

  1. Seek first to Understand
  2. Be a Good Finder

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers”…Eph 4:29

As an Eagle Scout, I was raised and lived by the Boy Scout Oath.

I have asked GOD to give me the strength to live by that Oath again each day.

One of Those Things?? NOT!!!

Having been involved directly with Orrin Woodward, Chris Brady and Bill Lewis for nearly ten years, I am qualified to share information about the LIFE future. No one disagrees the world is messed up, and when someone identifies a solution (without seeking the credit) many will criticize. That is the consumer mentality Oliver DeMille speaks about in his new book Freedom Shift. Hats off to Orrin and the Policy Counsel for having the unwavering committment to move forward. America’s future FREEDOM rests in our hands. Brian

When I worked at Delphi division of GM, I completed half the classes for a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. Although I received good grades and enjoyed the classes, I stopped pursuing my MBA in order to build my own business.

Many thought I was crazy to quit my MBA, but I just had a feeling that it was time for me to build my own business rather than continue to learn about business. In truth, I was ready to implement some of the principles that I had learned along with continuing my education in “the school of hard knocks”. :)

One of the best principles that I learned through my MBA program was to study business by asking two questions when studying any business:

1. What is the downside risk?
2. What is the upside reward?

Simply put, if the downside risk was too great, then don’t do it, because it could capsize the entire ship. However, if the a person could handle the worst case downside risk, and the upside reward was big enough, then perhaps it was a business venture worth committing to.

It was these two questions asked and answered that led me out of school and into my own business venture. What is ironic today, as I look back on Laurie and my business ventures is the level of risk taken in our former business model compared to the risk today for someone joining LIFE. Remember, Laurie and I were dead broke even as an engineer and an accountant. In fact, we were beyond broke, having consumer debt amounting to over $30,000 when we started our networking careers!

With monthly expenditures to buy 100 points of volume in my old networking company requiring Laurie and I to spend $300 dollars or more, we barely endured. This was quite a blow to an already stretched budget. Along with the product purchases, the investment in CDs, books, and seminars (all of which I loved) totaled another $200 plus dollars per month. In other words, on top of a stretched budget, Laurie and I had to budget for another $500 dollars per month minimum! The downside investment nearly killed us for the first several years. Thankfully, Laurie and I are both long-term thinkers and kept the vision in front of us. However, many of the people we started with us did not have the same endurance, dropping out along the journey to success.

What kept Laurie and I focused was the upside reward, we figured we could make an extra $25,000 after expenses in a couple of years. It’s laughable now how much work we did in a model whose highest rewards topped out at 25% volume discount on total group volumes of $20-30k per month. I know, I know, this is sounding like one of those stories: we walked uphill both ways to school through heavy snow. :)   Even so, these are the facts we were dealing with.

I am not knocking networking. In fact, I am thankful that someone had created any opportunity for us to apply our sweat equity towards freedom. We had to make many changes, both personally and professionally to get the business rolling, but eventually, we made it happen. To this day, many people around the world utilize the TEAM system of building, called team approach to grow their businesses. I take this as a compliment for our years of effort in improving the upside reward compared to the downside risk for our entire industry.

Today with the LIFE business, the downside risk versus the upside reward is nothing short of revolutionary. A person can sign up for the LIFE and LLR subscriptions, and generate 100 points for $100.  This, in my opinion, is much better than some networking companies, where you buy commodity products at inflated prices, especially if a person can buy comparable products at Walmart and Target for significantly less. In LIFE, a person can purchase the lowest cost leadership materials on the market from the only company that has two leaders on the Top 30 Leadership Guru list.

How can we offer our material at the best price and yet have a compensation plan that pays 50% on just the first type of bonus? The simple answer is the founders desire to influence the world is greater than the desire to pad their pocketbooks. Imagine if we took world-class leadership materials and provided it at the lowest prices. Then, imagine taking 70% of all the revenue points generated and flowing it back to the people who helped LIFE launch the leadership revolution. Remember, in LIFE, your pay raise becomes effective as soon as you do. :)

So what is the downside risk in this model? Hmm, let me think. . . The downside risk is that you might not enjoy the leadership training from two best selling leadership authors and business partners. If at any time you do not see the value in the leadership materials, you have a 30 day “no questions asked” return policy. Certainly within 30 days, you could discover whether the leadership materials is helping you or not, right?

The downside risk is negligible. But what about the upside reward? With a compensation plan that pays out 70% revenue points to anyone who achieves a minimum of 150 points of business, the networking game is changed forever. For example, Laurie and I personally started a new leg on November 4th. It has already achieved the 20% bracket and is easily going to hit the 25% bracket later this week. It took me two years to hit the 25% bracket in my first company!

Why the huge difference? Because we have a digital age business, a compensation plan that rewards people at the low end, and founders who desire the wealth to flow to people who build the network, not found the company.  Another factor is the demand for quality leadership materials at an affordable price point. LIFE has already signed up hundreds of customers doing tens of thousands of points, making volume accumulation easier than ever before in my networking experience.

I have taken my share of criticism for not going along with the herd in networking. I have refused repeatedly to sell out my character for conveniences. This has cost me money, time, and relationships over the years, since, in my opinion, some of my former heroes chose to sell out rather than fight for what is right.  Anytime someone desires to change the rules of the future, he will be attacked by the protectors of the past. I have received, and will continue receiving personal attacks for changing the rules. However, although they can attack my reputation, they cannot touch my character. Better they criticize me than I be them. The only people calling LIFE a scam are fearful competitors. :) Make no mistake, I will never surrender my principles for peace. I believe it’s better to create the new, rather than criticize the old.

If you have ever tried networking and didn’t make it work, then welcome to the club. Millions of Americans and Canadians have tried networking and failed in their attempt. This doesn’t make you a failure unless you blamed someone else. LIFE has changed the risk versus reward ratio to such an extent that many are achieving success who previously only struggled.

For example, my yacht captain, Bill Howard, is already at the 40% bracket and just a sliver away from the 45% bracket. We were quickly calculating his bonus for this month at around $800. Remember, Captain Bill has been in networking since 2005 and has averaged $50 or less per month with his highest one month check around $250!  Like I said, LIFE is a game-changer.
